Guten Tag! Just got back from my German class and I am waiting for my math class to start, so I decided to go ahead and get some lunch ( which is this rice premade stuff... not liking it very much) and write a second cure to this whole sweet tooth problem. So another option to getting something sweet is to do the whole substitution shabang. You can still have your brownie, cookie, or whatever... just healthified a bit. But remember its still has blechy stuff in it, so don't assume that if you healthify a brownie you can eat as much as you want. Portions are still in affect here :P Ok ok now you want to know the substitutions right? Im assuming so since your still reading ;) Well there are probably hundreds and hundreds but Im going to type out a list, and if you have any others, go ahead and type on the comment thing.
Here we go:
Instead of: Use:
1. cream cheese Neufchatel cheese
2. Icecream Sherbet, Sorbet, frozen yogurt, smoothies, sugar free popsicles
3. Sour Cream Plain lowfat yogurt
4. Butter, or oil applesauce- especially in banana bread :)
5." 1C whipped cream (mousse) 3 stiffly beaten egg whites, 3/4 to 1 cup yogurt cheese"
6. Fat (oil) ingredient in muffins fruit puree
7. Sugar Honey (some recipes it wont work because it needs the
texture as well as the sweetness, also you dont need as much
honey cause its a lot sweeter)
8. cookie bars cereal bars
9. syrup yogurt, fruit sauce
10. milk chocolate dark chocolate....
Ok here are some, please comment and give me some more ideas and I will add to the list. Im totally curious about this whole substitution thing and I dont know much about it so please teach me :)
